BiographyI am a sophomore at Springhouse Community School in Floyd, Virginia. I was born in Oak Island, NC. I have moved multiple times around the beach and the mountains and I’ve gotten to meet a lot of great people through my travels. I’ve been drawing since I could hold a marker and I’ve pretty much always had a passion for art. My current ambition is to continue studying art in college. Artist StatementI am a teenage artist and I have been interested in art all my life. When I was younger, I took an earring making class that inspired my friend and I to start a jewelry business. We kept it going for a couple of years, attending craft shows and selling our work. I now work mostly with 2-dimensional media, mainly pencil and marker. Most of what I draw has an animated, cartoony feel to it. I tend to focus on teenagers and the drama of their life. My friend and I are taking an online art history class and we’re visiting art museums together. I am currently exploring other styles and media through apprenticeships with local artists. |
