Artist Statement
Piet Mondrian, Dutch artist (1872 – 1944), contributed to and was influenced by cubism but settled on his own style and form which he called neoplasticism. This consisted of a white ground, upon which he painted a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the three primary colors.
This lounge chair celebrates Mondrian’s style and offers a place to relax, and maybe escape from the busy assault of bold primary colors and rectangular patterns.
